Does anyone else get frustrated at shows that rely on a convenient lack of communication in order to move forward?

Maybe I’m alone here, but certain shows don’t respect the audience by conveniently avoiding obvious outs to a problem. Pluribus relies quite a bit on Carol just, literally, not asking questions and finding out information. We don’t even know the end goal of the hive mind which is literally… who on earth wouldn’t ask that of a hive mind? Carol has had conversations with the hive mind where she asks other questions, probes for information, but conveniently just doesn’t ask other things that I assume most of the audience would assume one would ask in a scenario like this.

Another example of this is last episode, when Carol finds out about the stem cell consent problem. This discovery, and the discovery that no one is electing to go through with the procedure, is ammunition for her argument. She could call the Spaniard out on his hypocrisy, arguing that he is exercising a freedom of choice not afforded to the rest of humanity.

And the rest of the group hates Carol, and Carol doesn’t have the brains to placate them or attempt to have dialogue where she could least with a level head try to field arguments from the others? Why is it passed over during group dialogue that the event literally killed Carols wife? It’s never even brought up beyond like one time as a justification to the group for why Carol acts the way she does towards the hive mind.

How did the hive mind come to the moral conclusions it has, surrounding not hurting life, even plant life? Now that the hive mind has studied how to turn others, has it discovered what the RNA building blocks from the space signal actually did to the physiology of the world? Why can’t the hive mind lie? Where did this strict set behavior rules for the hive mind come from?

I just feel like the show doesn’t respect the audience because a lot of things could be answered with a 5 minute conversation with Zosia asking the right questions but for some unknown reason this above average intelligence fiction writer just…. Doesn’t ask them and doesn’t know how to communicate or argue properly with the other survivors. Whack.
