1.5 hour layover for international flight

I am flight from Phx to Tokyo in February. My layover for the flight I am looking at is 1.5 hours - flying American the whole flight. Is this enough time at LAX? Not sure if my arrival gate and departure gate will be in the same terminal since part of it is international?
