All 22 of Mike's Frazier
Did a quick watch (1 time, full speed) of Frazier and wanted to share my thoughts.
To start the timeshare between him and Colon was interesting, so here's a quick overview.
- Colon got start for the first drive.
- Frazier played the rest of 1st half
- Colon got start coming out of half
- Frazier came in at the end of the 3rd
- Colon played the 2nd half of the 4th
Curious to hear Hank's thoughts on this, but it worked regardless.
Overall I was very impressed with Frazier. I found myself singing smooth criminal as I was watching the film, just because of how smooth Frazier moves. He never looks stressed and always keeps a good base and fluid movement with his feet.
His hand usage though needs work. He doesn't have very heavy hands and seems hesitant with his punch, I suspect this will be a focus of the off-season for him.
Biggest negatives was 2 false starts, this needs cleaned up especially going on the road next week, but that just requires reps.
I also counted 3 times he got beat. 2 pressures given up and 1 run block where he allowed his guy to penetrate into the backfield.
What is encouraging though all 3 of those plays were still all positive. 2 were big completions to Jamo, the run play Monty still got the 1st. This is because even when he loses he doesn't get destroyed. He loses slow because he keeps a base and at least slows them down.
Moving forward I would like to see him named the starter and get 1st team reps. At least until Mahogany comes back, then maybe revisit.
