Is it just me or the server will always have input lag/delay 1 DAY after major update?

Basically what the title say,

Yesterday, the server is fine, and I almost hit div 2 because of the no lag. But today, everything move like a truck with 3 tires, all my shooting attempts took like 3 seconds before the character actually shoot.

Heck, even the scoring animation is delayed, I had to sit through the opponent ragebait animation for 2-3 seconds before it even let me skip.
