May I only to defer 1 exam when my VOI lasts for 5 days

I was at the clinic because I wasn't feeling well, and the doctor recommended at least 5 days of rest given my situation and recorded that on my VOI. I have multiple exams these few days (including Sat), but I really don't want to miss any of them except for the one today which I know for sure that I am incapable of attempting. Is it appropriate to write that despite the 5-day sick leave on my VOI, if I am feeling better and capable of completing my other exams, I will still do so as per my duty as a student? I am just not sure if this will strengthen my petition statement or make it more suspicious.
