Problem with DP 1.4 on Asus XG27ACDNG

system specs at the end

Im running in to a weird issue where I try to switch the Display Port Stream setting to 1.4 from 1.2.

After I the screen resets but when the image comes back all I can see is my desktop, menu bar, and the preview of the open windows when i hover over the app in the task bar. When I try to select the app, Brave for example, I don’t see the window but I still hear a youtube video playing. When i switch back to DP1.2, I see the enlarged windows again.

I have DSC on, ASUS power sync off, performance mode on..not sure what other seeing you might need to help me troubleshoot.

I noticed the issue when i tried to switch from 60hz to 120hz refresh rate in the system setting and it wouldn’t stick. Then i realized Imight have the wrong DP setting and this was when I noticed the issue.

Im using the provided DP cable that came with the monitor and plugged into GPU.

Does anyone have any insight or things i could try to get this working? Please let me know if you need any other info.
