Six Months Since Graduation — A Grateful Reflection 🎓

It’s hard to believe that it’s already been six months since I graduated from the University of Central Florida with my Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences (Pre-Clinical track) and a minor in Medical Sociology. These past months have been filled with growth, learning, and meaningful experiences that continue to affirm my passion for healthcare.

Since then, I’ve been working full-time as a Pharmacy Technician II at AdventHealth Orlando, where I’ve had the opportunity to expand my skills every single day — from performing sterile compounding, to operating automated medication dispensing systems, to interacting with patients and collecting accurate medication reconciliation information. Each experience has strengthened both my technical abilities and my understanding of patient-centered care.

As I prepare for my MCAT in April 2026 and work toward a hopeful matriculation into the Class of 2027, I’m committed to staying fully engaged in my academic journey even during this time away from school. In this brief intermission, I’m actively seeking mentorship, shadowing, and research opportunities — hoping to connect with someone who is willing to guide me, challenge me, and offer a closer look into the day-to-day realities of practicing medicine. I’m eager to learn from professionals who are passionate about what they do and open to taking an aspiring physician under their wing.

I’m incredibly grateful for the journey so far and excited for what’s ahead as I continue pursuing my dream of becoming an anesthesiologist specializing in pain management. Here’s to growth, purpose, and the next chapter. 💛🖤
