How do I stop my allies from leaving?
Hi dear readers,
I am upset and I'd like some help. Today I was done early with work, so I decided to call it an early weekend and get in some Nightreign games since the DLC released.
I haven't played in a bit and there's lots of stuff I still have to learn, but I'm sad and annoyed by the fact that I played three games today, and in all three matches I was alone come day two.
I tried playing with the team, but in one game someone decided to deviate, go somewhere alone, die and reconnect. There's not much I can think of what I can improve here, to be honest. We never made it to the last boss unfortunately, we went to do some camp with knights in them, my ally got downed and I tried my hardest to both revive and stay alive at the same time, but apparently I wasn't doing it fast enough because my ally then left.
In another game, I was clearly the burden. I went down a lot, to the point I just got ignored by my team. Fair's fair, three bars are hard to revive. I have to admit, I usually play Guardian or Reaver but I tried Scholar this match, and he's just a bit squishier than I expected. Can't learn a character without playing em tho, imo.
Last game, I did pretty okay. One of my allies went down and we hadn't even had the time to revive them before they disconnected. I stayed behind with my last ally until the final boss, the centipede demon, but I went down unfortunately. Still tho, 1 bar, so not that bad. But no, this was apparently the trigger for my ally to call it quits.
I can admit my wrongs, and I am not the perfect player/ally, but can I do ANYTHING else to stop my allies from leaving? Or at least not have to wait until the end? I tried leaving myself but it said I would incur a penalty, so I didn't.
Please, please, please help. I want to enjoy this game, but I feel like solo would be too difficult for me, plus I enjoy multiplayer.
TL;DR: 3 games played, people went down, people left. How do I stop this? Or how do I not have to wait until the end? Quitting gives a penalty.
