Tyler's forgiveness arc.

Theories & Speculations

So I've discussed Tyler's arc and how it parallels Jinx's ( It's literally my obsession at this point 🤣🤣)

Those who have watched Arcane will know that the central relationship in the show is that of the sisters Vi and Jinx, and how they're unable let go of the past, forgive each other and themselves, accept each other as they are and not what they wished the other could be and how that ends up making things worse. In the end, Jinx comes to the hard earned ( UNDERSTATEMENT of the century ) understanding that she and Vi are part of a cycle and a codependent relationship and chooses to let go of Vi ( Literally, if you watched the show) and set her free, breaking the cycle, so that she and Vi could heal and start fresh.

When I analyse Tyler's relationships in the show

Tyler = Powder/Jinx

Donovan = Vi ( Because he didn't know how to parent Tyler, couldn't accept him as he was)

Wednesday = Vi + Ekko ( Because Wednesday is his grounding anchor (Vi), and just like Vi, would go to any lengths for her loved ones. And she's the one who set him free and equipped him to break the cycle ( Ekko) )

Francoise = Vi + Vander + Silco + Isha ( She represents the part of Vi that wanted only Powder/Tyler, but not Jinx / The Hyde , and the Vi that was in prison for a long time and Tyler didn't know because someone lied to him. She is also Vander because, just like Vander, she is a parental figure who returned from the dead, who was experimented on in secret in prison. She is Silco because she manipulated him for her own goals . And she is Isha because she is a snowglobe of the past for Tyler)

Issac = Caitlyn + Singed ( Singed because he experimented on Tyler and Caitlyn, because she is Vi's lover, who in Jinx's perspective, is trying to steal Vi away from her. )

Laurel = Silco + Singed ( No explanation needed)

Enid = Caitlyn

Everyone that Tyler has some form of resentment towards has an aspect of Vi as viewed from Jinx's perspective ( Donovan, Francoise, Wednesday)

Tyler's arc has to follow to forgiveness for Donovan and Francoise, ( recognising then as flawed human beings ) and ( This might be controversial) he needs to come to a secure enough place to be willing to let Wednesday go and set her free, the way she set him free. ( Wednesday is both Vi and Ekko, remember). Wednesday is going to go mad trying to save people next season and she needs Tyler ( and possibly Enid ) to do this to stop the Aunt Ophelia crashout.
