The Magnus Archives 2026 World Cup

Hello everyone and welcome to the The Magnus Archives 2026 World Cup!

(Based on the idea done by u/SteveBread, who sadly is no longer on Reddit.)

The first World Cup (despite being great fun), only contained half of the episodes from The Magnus Archives, so it is time that we decide which episode is the ACTUAL best episode ever!

Also, yes, 2026 because that is when this World Cup will mostly take place. I will try to be consistent and regular but there are a LOT of episodes so it's gonna have to take some time.

Here is how we are going to proceed:

• First, every episode has been split randomly between 40 groups of 5 (I know it's a lot). Every week, you will have to decide on your favourite episode from each group. The first 3 will automatically pass to the final round (top 128 and 1v1 matches). Meanwhile, the 4th of each group will go on to the lower bracket and will have a chance to be saved in the second round!
• The second will be similar except this time we will have only 8 groups made of all the episodes arriving 4th in the previous round. Here, only the 1st will get to the final round, so choose well!
• Finally, the exciting (and long) final round, in which the top 128 will compete in 1v1 matches until only one is left alive...

Every results and rounds can be seen on this spreadsheet. I will also create a megapost soon in order to have everything in one place.

Hope you will enjoy this World Cup and have lots of fun! Thanks again to Rusty Quills and the Magnus Archives crew for giving us this amazing horror podcast (licensed under a creative commons......).

And now, let's start with the first round, right here (will add very soon)!

Also, if The Lonely has a hold of you and you'd would like to make your personal World Cup with only your votes, check out this post (TBC)!
