How can I tell which router I’m connected to?

I have a Verizon fios router and an extender. When I’m in about the mid zone how would I know which I am connected to? On my laptop I can which band it’s connected to 2.4/5/6 but on laptop or iPhone I want to know if I’m connecting to the router or extender.
