Blankets make my cat go crazy

Does anyone else experience this? I know pretty much every cat is guilty of biting your toes under a blanket here and there but my cat is crazy about it. Even just sitting on the couch under a throw will put her into crazy zoom mode. I’ll just be chillin watching my movie, not moving at all and she’ll pounce and bite my legs hard through the blanket.

I have no idea how to curb this behavior or if it’s even possible. I’ll yell ouch when she bites hard and that gets her attention but she’ll just do it again. Sometimes I’ll put her in her carrier if she’s been particularly nasty and that sort of chills her out. She seems incapable of understanding it’s me under there—I’ll even show her my hands, put them under the blanket slowly, remove them, etc. she just doesn’t get it.
