MICHIGAN FANS: Here is the plan to get iron lung in Detroit/Ann arbor

Hey everyone,

As some of you know, Markiplier is self-distributing his new horror movie, Iron Lung (releasing Jan 30, 2026). Because he’s not using a major studio, the movie isn't automatically coming to every AMC or Regal. He is specifically looking for independent theaters and small chains to request the film. Right now, the closest confirmed showing to us is all the way in Louisville, Kentucky. If we want to see it in the Metro Detroit area, we have to prove there is a demand for it. I’ve already sent formal booking requests to Emagine and MJR, and I’m hoping if enough of us do the same, they’ll pick it up. Here is how you can help (it takes 30 seconds):

1. Emagine Theaters (Woodhaven, Canton, etc.)

I requested the Woodhaven location, but request whichever is closest to you. Link: https://www.emagine-entertainment.com/contact-us/ Select your local theater from the dropdown and ask them to book "Iron Lung" for Jan 30, 2026.

2. MJR Theaters (Southgate, Westland, etc.)

I requested the Southgate location. Link: https://www.mjrtheatres.com/contact-us/ Select your local theater and mention that there are local groups waiting to buy tickets.

Mark has said explicitly that this "grassroots" demand is how theaters decide to book the movie. The more requests they get from us, the higher the chance we won't have to drive 5+ hours to Kentucky to see it!

Let’s get this movie to Michigan!
