I'M SORRY ZACH

BUT, having "Into the Night" by Benny Mardones on your top Playlist is absolutely unhinged.

For the uninitiated, the song was written when Benny was in his mid 30's and revolves around him professing his love for a HIGHSCHOOLER.

The opening line? "She's just 16 years old Leave her alone, they said." WHOEVER THEY ARE, THEY'RE ENTIRELY JUSTIFIED TO BE SAYING THAT.

Please go and watch the music video if you have the time. In it, Benny is turned away by the father, then sneaks into the daughter's room through the window (hide your kids hide your wife), where he proceeds to take her on some sort of deeply disturbing magic carpet ride.

Peace and love, I am absolutely skeeved by that song every time it is mentioned or used in an unironic, completely sincere way.
