How much should you actually bet?
Alright, so I’ve been seeing a ton of people asking how much they should bet per game, especially with NFL and NBA heating up. Here’s a simple breakdown that’s helped me stop lighting money on fire every weekend.
First rule: never bet more than you’re cool losing. Like, if a random L on a Tuesday ruins your week, you’re betting too much. Most sharp bettors go with a unit system aka, betting a consistent % of their bankroll. Usually 1-2%. So if you’ve got $500 you’re playing with, your unit is $5 or $10.
Now, I know that sounds small, but trust when you’re betting daily or running multiple plays, that stuff adds up. Plus, when you hit a cold streak (and you will), you’re not cooked.
TLDR:
• Stick to 1-2% of your roll per bet
• Don’t chase losses, it never ends well
• Cut the juice if you can (BetOpenly is solid for that)
Curious how you guys manage your units?
