Sorry for the long post

Hi!

So I’ve been feeding a colony of cats for over a years now (I’ve posted about them before), and I always by big bags of food the cheapest I could find.

This month I bought a bag of 20kg at a cheap price and they didn’t like it. Like, not even tried it. I did some research and yeah, has more flour than meat and that doesn’t have as good of smell and taste.

The bag was supposed to last them around two months and I saved accordingly and I don’t have extra to buy them a new one and I don’t want the food to waste.

Of course there’s nothing I would like more than to donate it to the city shelter or a shelter I volunteer at, but I really really need the money and no one has answered my plea of buying the bag from me or exchange it and i couldn’t save money last months because of Christmas and other bills.

Idk what to do:( I tried mixing the food with another one they like I brought from home but they would just sniff and pick the pellets they like (damn you spoiled brats)

Hell, I even reached out to a pet shop that has a program to help stray to see if they were willing to buy/exchange the back but of course they didn’t answer:’(

Is it too crazy to put them in smaller bag and sell them? I know it would look sketchy af.

I’m running out of option and it seems I have no other choice but to just donate the bag) and eat the Spence and pull from my saving to buy them a new bag:/

Advice on what to do about my strays not liking the food I bought
