Aitah if I go to an event my teacher is going to

That sounds stupid but hold on. Basically, my history has talked about his niche sport in school a few times and I didn't think much of it. Recently I started watching lots of videos about this sport and I followed the two clubs that do it in my city on Instagram, one of them I know my teacher goes to. On the other ones ig I saw an advertisement for a live demonstration of the sport that I really want to go to, but I'm scared my teacher will be there, and he'd feel like it was an invasion of his privacy or that I was just there to see if he would be there. That sounds stupid but I can't stress enough that it is a very small community of people who do this, especially in my city. I swear I'm not trying to be invasive, or weird, I just wanna watch the live demonstration. This teacher can be kinda touchy about people asking about his life outside of school. So, aitah for thinking of going?
