Would the stranger things play be ok for a 10yr old

We have the opportunity to go see the stranger things play and debating on taking our 10 year old. He has seen the first 3 seasons of the show but we’re holding off on showing him the 4th season because of how much scarier it is (the body’s snapping to be specific). He does get a little spooked by the first 3 seasons but enjoyed them. Anyone see the play and give me insight on if they think it is any scarier or gorier than the first 3 seasons of the show?
