What does a typical prednisone taper look like for you?

I recently finished a prednisone taper and my taper went like this 30mg x 7 days 20mg x 7 days 10mg x 7 days 5 mg x 7 days 5 mg every other day for 7 days. At first I felt good on 30mg I had some side effects like acne but it was a trade off I was willing to make for relief. However once I hit 10mg my symptoms started coming back. I had blood work on Monday the day before I finished the prednisone and it was not good I had a crp of a 11.65 and a fecal calprotectin over 3000. I saw my new GI doctor the following day and he agreed the numbers were not good. He was hesitant to start me on a new prednisone taper as I just finished it the same day. He gave Mesalamine 2x daily to go along with 45mg of rinvoq I’ve been taking for 7 weeks and said that if I didn’t see improvement by my next appointment (14 days) I would be starting another prednisone taper. So it raises my question of what does a typical prednisone taper look like to you. Do you start at 40mg for 2 weeks or do start lower for a longer duration?
