This movie broke me. Seriously. | 12 Years a Slave Synopsis & Plot Review

People always say this movie is 'too much'. Nah, it's essential viewing. Solomon Northup's true story. He was a free man. A musician in New York. Then he got tricked. Drugged. Kidnapped. Sold into slavery. For twelve brutal years. On plantations in Louisiana. It's truly awful to watch. He sees so much suffering. Patsey's story is heartbreaking. But then Bass helps him. A good guy. He writes a letter. Solomon finally gets rescued. He reunites with his family. What an incredible, sad journey. Definitely watch it if you haven't.
