I have a game idea that could change how we understand Indian politics, but I can't build it. Developers/Indie Studios, please steal this.
USED AI to rewrite below:
I was having dinner tonight after a long day at work, just doom-scrolling through the news, and honestly, I felt hopeless. The Rupee is falling, the gap between the rich and poor is widening, corruption is everywhere, and Delhi is choking on poisonous air. The civic sense is non-existent.
We all sit around saying, "I want a good leader who can fix this," or "If I were PM, I’d do X."
But the reality is terrifying. I’m a Data Scientist working in tech. I can analyze the problems, but I can’t run for office. I don’t have the time to stand in an election, and frankly? I’m scared. In our political landscape, if you actually try to do good, you get targeted. You get threatened. Sometimes, you get killed.
So, I had an idea. A way to create change without getting shot.
I want to see a game built. A serious, high-stakes simulation for everyone—kids, teenagers, adults.
The Concept: You play as the Prime Minister of a fictional country (we can’t name it India for obvious political reasons, but the scenarios are very real).
This isn't Civilization or SimCity. This is a survival-political horror simulator.
- Real Consequences: You want to fix the pollution? Great. But the industrial lobby just paid off your coalition partners, and now your government is about to collapse.
- The Threat of Violence: In this game, doing the "right thing" is dangerous. If you go too hard against corruption without diplomatic cover, your character faces assassination attempts, or your in-game family is threatened.
- AI-Powered Politics: The opposition and the public are powered by AI. They react irrationally, emotionally, and ruthlessly—just like in real life.
- Multiplayer Cabinet: You can build a cabinet with real players. But can you trust your Finance Minister, or are they cutting a backroom deal with the opposition?
The Goal: The point of the game is to educate people on why things are so broken. It teaches that "fixing" a country isn't just about good intentions; it's about survival, diplomacy, and navigating a brutal system.
Here is the catch: I have a demanding job and active work commitments. I cannot be the CEO of this startup. I simply do not have the hours in the day to lead development or run a studio.
I am posting this because I want someone to take this idea and run with it.
If you are a game developer, an indie studio, or a group of students looking for a capstone project—please, take this idea.
I am happy to contribute as a consultant, help with the logic/data science aspect, or just be a sounding board when I have free time. But I need a team (or a leader) who can actually own this and build it.
If this sounds like something you want to build, drop a comment or DM me. Let’s discuss how to make this happen. I just want to see this exist.
TL;DR:
I have an idea for a realistic, brutal "PM Simulator" game where doing good gets you killed, to teach people about the reality of Indian politics. I don't have time to build it due to my job. Looking for devs/teams who want to take the idea and build it; I'm happy to help where I can.
