Overwhelmed

My spouse of 37 years loves Christmas. He has no self-control when it comes to purchases. Every year he seems to find something he has to have - especially if it’s Star Wars themed. The volume of stuff and spent money on crap has crushed my Christmas spirit. There is no arguing or rationalizing with him as it quickly becomes “my problem”. My house is too small for all this crap and spending hours/days on decorating is exhausting for the mind, body, and soul. Clean up is just as bad. I feel stuck and unhappy the whole month of December.
