Blue Planet Distribution/ EV of RGV Review: It’s the worst company in the valley! DO NOT WORK HERE!
First and foremost:
This was an anonymous tip from someone who is creditable and has proof of all this. The person’s statements is as it follows.
I am writing this down because they keep taking reviews down that are bad towards them and they can’t take this down.
This company is ran by a narcissist Indian and he will try to make as much money from you as possible.
The Indeed post says Customer Service Representative to entice applicants to apply thinking it will be a call center or a WFH job but it’s a door to door sales selling $3500 steam cleaners. They will lie in the interviews saying that you will have appointments made for you but it’s a lie.
You will go for 3 days of unpaid training. They will offer you $150 to “watch” 5 demos but that’s already a minimum of 20 hours wasted of your life. They will say that there is a base pay of $600 if you do 12 demos but it’s almost impossible to get those 12 demos in a week. Most do half and that’s working 8 hours on the field for 6 days.
Not only are you not getting paid for the training but you will have to read a book and listen to a podcast and spend your own time and money doing research for a project all just so that you can stay in the training.
After your training, you will be told to ask family and friends to show the steam cleaner. The real goal is to sell the $3500 steam cleaner to your family. They will tell you that they don’t have to buy it but they will guilt trip you and your family into buying a machine.
That’s where most of the sales and profit come for the company. After they try sell to your family and friends, they will throw you away and have another class every week for the same purpose.
This job is commission only, not hourly so don’t expect to get paid. Commission can be good, don’t get me wrong. You can make $1000 if you sell 3 machines a week but most sell 3 machines a month so you’re making less than minimum wage because you will be spending minimum of 8 hours out knocking door after an unpaid morning meeting that’s an hour long every day.
It is mandatory to work 6 days a week and being sick is not an excuse. If you have a relative in the hospital, no sympathy will be given to you. The owner is a bipolar narcissist that only cares about himself and will pretend to be nice just to have you lower your guard.
Pay will be deducted from you to pay for a demo kit that’s mandatory to have to do your demos and if you quit, the owner will try to find any reason to not pay you. You have to threaten legal action for him to pay you. He also changes payouts in order to pay you less on commission than what you actual deserved too.
If you decide to stay and are good, the promise of being a team leader and distributor will promised but you have to get your own van and that van will be under the owners name for tax write off purposes and you’ll be stuck paying for it.
There is also a team leader there that’s middle aged and fat that has pictures of female employees on his phone that he secretly takes.
A lot of allegations have been made towards the owners/ team leaders and it gets swept under the rug because the only thing they care is about their image.
I implore everyone to stay away from this company. It’s literally better to be unemployed than to work here because at least you don’t have to pay to work there.
If you have a similar experience please comment so we can expose them.
Thank you!
