Octopath Traveler 0 help

Been wanting to play Octopath 0, but when I look it up, it says i need to join some discord server called sanctuary because of denuvo? I don't know how safe it is, and everyone in the replies is bickering with each other. Anyone more knowledgeable than me, can you do some research to see if its possible for me to get the game without having to join some fishy discord? Thanks
