I do not feel safe in this country at all
I don't feel safe in this country at all. The protective services do not do anything.
My partner always waved to a little girl who was visible from her balcony. They would wave whenever they saw her. The little girl would be playing with her toys and whatnot. One day my partner saw the little girls mother hitting her. This happened multiple times. My partner called CPS and all they did was give the mother a warning. Now the windows remain closed and the curtains remain drawn.
Me and my schoolmates used to park our scooters in a shopping complex. We had been doing this for about 2-3 years. We were never objected once and we used to provide traffic to the shops there as well. One day one of the shopkeepers removed the side mirrors from our scooters. We called the police. The police told us to just let it go and stop parking there. I GET THAT ITS TECHNICALLY PRIVATE PROPERTY BUT IT DOES NOT GIVE THEM A RIGHT TO VANDALIZE OUR VEHICLES LIKE THAT DOES IT ?
I have a female friend. Her father hits her. She is not allowed to wear shorts outside her home. She needs to take permission to go outside the house whereas her younger brother (3-4 years younger) is not questioned ever. She does no have a phone of her own while her younger brother does. She is forced to clean up after her brother. Her brother, mother, father verbally abuses her. She is not allowed television or the internet. I want to call cps but i don't know if she'll be okay with that. Shes at a very crucial time of her life and it might mess up her studies and other stuff.
There is a lot of stuff I see online as well. Neighbors harassing each other and the police doing nothing about it. Animal cruelty and no action being taken.
"India hai ye sab toh hota hi hai" mentality is the bane of our existence and the thing that is holding back this country .
