Pokemon HeartGold

So I'm not sure if its the right reddit for this but im still gonna give it a try.

I've bought at Anbernice console so I can play Poke HeartGold and SoulSilver. But for some reason, the screen is half which i managed to solve but the real issue is saving the game. I either cant save the or I dont know how. If anyone can help, that would be great.
