New laptop screen hanging

I recently got a new laptop, it's a dell precision 7770, 32gb ram, core i7 12 gen, rtx A3000.
Every few seconds the screen hangs for a second. It happens fairly frequently to the point it's disruptive. I tried checking online and most of the places mentioned lacking hardware/specs, which can't be the issue.
I also haven't downloaded anything that could cause this. All i have downloaded is fusion, spyder6, and matlab. The issue was present when i got it too :(
