I’ve overlooked AirPods for pretty much their entire existence, mostly because they’re so small that I’d probably lose one on my 2nd day of using them, and I mostly favored large headphones, like Beats Studio. Also in my experience smaller headphones have worse sound than large ones.

So, a month or so ago my Beats Studio Pro broke down, some shit happened to ANC, and in the right ear I constantly heard either water flowing, wind howling or just static noise. Since my warranty hasn’t expired, I took them back to the shop. Unfortunately, by the laws of my country the whole process of free repairing under warranty can take up to more than 2 months total. I waited for probably 3 weeks, then had enough, got really tired or walking around or riding the subway without headphones and bought these AirPods Pro 2.

I immediately knew I wanted smaller headphones, because I already have large ones, and they are going to get fixed at some point, so there was no point in buying another large ones. Plus, the large ones kinda fit bad if you’re wearing something like a suit, so these AirPods are kinda for different cases for me.

So far I’ve been using them for about a week, and I’m loving it. The ANC is proper, something I didn’t really expect of smaller headphones, the sound is good, especially if I hook them to my PC with a set equalizer. I also like other little features like when you take out one headphone, and the music pauses until you put it back in.

Now I kinda feel bad for overlooking them for so long.

Well… I’ve finally done it
