Is there a wrong way to be a furry?

Like, I don't know, I like some furry stuff, I'm kinda in the process of making myself a fursona and I'm just wondering whether being a furry has some sort of a "You need to be this interested in furry stuff to call yourself a furry" or whether you can just do whatever you want? Frankly, I don't actually know that much about furries!
