Learning about Christianity
Coming from a Bramhin Hindu family, my closest interactions with Christians have been mainly Catholic schoolmates and certain non-denominational Protestants. My mom studied in a Catholic school in India (Carmel Convent, Bhopal) and being a open minded secularist taught me about Christian philosophy along with Hinduism. I've read the Bible (New Testament), literature of St Aquinas and some parts of the Old testament. I've always had an fascination with Cathedrals and ethical monotheism however some aspects of Christianity like 'being saved', 'going to hell for being a non-believer', etc make me question converting to Christianity. If God is all merciful and gracious why would the non-believers also created in the image of God go to hell for not accepting the faith in an organised manner and 'saving their souls' to do so?
