I've been trying to beat this guy for like 2 weeks now. It's a really hard fight. The flying swords are very unpredictable and often just showed up exactly where I was falling or jumping towards. Also, the angle of the swords is challenging because when they go diagonally they go through multiple platforms often so there is no safe place land.

The strategy I finally found that worked better was to try and stay on the top platforms as much as possible during the first phase and never chase him down.

Due to the screen cutoff, you often can't see where the flower is rotating when you're jumping down so you're taking a risk if you try to go down and hit him there's a decent chance it will rotate exactly where you are.

Also, since the lower platforms are directly below the upper ones, Markoth can sort of corner you there since there are less places to go.

Once in the second phase, the swords feel somewhat easy to dodge but trying to get a hit on Markoth is very hard with the two flowers. I used the strategy I saw in many other places of just shade souling him here. What I often struggled with was shooting shade soul properly while climbing on the wall to get to his exact height. I got lucky in this fight because he entered the spinning attack multiple times while vertically even with platforms so I was able to land and shoot more easily.

So glad this is done.
