I Trusted the Process. Video #3 Blew Up: 17k Views + Almost 1k Subs.
Hey guys!
I wanted to share what worked for me in case it helps someone who is just starting out. I run a small channel where I document the journey of building my new desktop database app. It is a modern tool for working with databases and each month I post a devlog about what we have built.
For this video I kept things simple. I found a style I could repeat every month and stuck to it. I posted at the same time each month. I did not try to perfect anything. I wrote video and script ideas throughout the day and gave myself a week to actually make the devlog. I recorded a voiceover and did not show my face. I was even sick while recording the third one and thought it sounded awful, but that was the one that blew up.
That video has now passed 17,000 views. My channel jumped from about 230 subs to nearly 1,000 in a few days. The response shocked me. People joined the Discord, left really kind comments, and we even got our first paying customers for the app.
If you are early in your journey, keep going. Consistency matters far more than perfection. You never know which video will be the one that takes off. Mine was number three.
Hope this gives someone a bit of motivation today.
I honestly was reading this sub 3 months ago wishing for this kind of success, and I feel like you just have to trust the process. It'll work.
Happy to answer any questions!
