Damping fluid on cueing lift dried up on Audio Technica LP60 (I now have to use the cueing button)

The damping fluid on my cueing lift dried up on my Audio Technica LP60 and I now has to use the cueing button to raise/drop the tonearm instead of being able to use the auto-start feature. Has anyone else dealt with this and has success using the cueing button for cueing long-term (I'm afraid that the mechanism might wear out over time?)
