[M4A] When Journalism Meets Theatre

NSFW RP - Ongoing

At 33 years old she’d climbed the heights of her chosen profession. Two years year ago a true milestone for her as she secured a senior position at the world renowned Vanity Fair magazine. She was proud but determined to climb the mountaintop, a Pulitzer Prize being her ultimate ambition. As her 34th birthday approached next week, she was targeting to achieve her ultimate ambition in the next 10-15 years.

When an opportunity arises that could realistically shorten this time frame to 10-15 months she couldn’t possibly turn it down, could she?

The publicist of a world renowned reclusive Billionaire gets in contact with the Magazine, requesting her specfic presence at his Tuscan estate for an exclusive interview over the course of four days.

Now for further context, this particular billionaire was once a prominent famous athlete from Europe, securing household name status in the early to mid 2000s. He amassed the vast majority of his wealth from investments in a start up biochemical company. This start up would blossom into a powerhouse and a major player for environmental change within the next 25 years. His eventual retirement from his sports career would lead to him becoming the main face of the company and an outspoken advocate of a better tomorrow.

However three years ago his beloved wife passed away and this event becomes the reactant as he sinks into the Italian countryside to raise his children in complete seclusion and mysterious privacy.

So with a beautifully hand written letter with golden tipped edges planted across her desk and a head full of curiosity, the biggest question floating around that big brain of her is one motivated by a undying thirst for truth and a touch of her own vanity. What kinda story could she tell?

….

Hello! So I hope you enjoyed reading this brief prompt synopsis. As intriguing at I hope it sounds, I should be fully upfront and disclose something. I’m not entirely sure what the major themes of this story will be because I think it could evolve into so many things. It could become a romantic drama, an intense fast paced thriller or a terrifying horror. Perhaps even some mad combination of all. I’d love to discuss this more with any interested parties and see what we can come up with together.

In terms of the female lead for this story, I’d like to leave the vast majority of creative freedom up to you and I’m excited to see what kind of characters you’d maybe like to create. The only things that I consider non-negotiable are her passion for journalism and her drive for success, everything else is completely fair game, Including her Journalistic integrity.

For the male lead I have some pretty decent ideas on how his traits and personality could split off depending on the creative direction we wanted to take it too. I also have a potential physical description developed however I’ll save both of these for any parties actually interested in this.

Final thing id like to run through is just some notes on the more practical aspects of writing for this prompt, just to be as clear as I can and hopefully save both of us some time.

  1. I’m looking for a partner that is both polite and respectful. This is an absolute must.

  2. I’m looking for a patient partner. What I mean by that is, when approaching long term ideas, I am not interested in attempting to peruse non-stop back and forth replies. I don’t have the time in my schedule for this. This is also why I don’t consider my partner’s timezone relevant at all. I operate under the idea that whenever you can and you’re in the mood, feel free to send a reply. I will do the same. If that time overlaps over into a “Back and Forth” session great, if not I’m more than happy to always wait. I would like the same approach from a writing partner.

I understand some writers prefer a more consistent daily approach, good luck to them, but they should look at other posts.

  1. I am open to both first or third person perspectives in writing.

  2. I like a good grammatically correct sentence as much as the next person, I am also not a Grammar N*zi. Far from it. I’m very relaxed on this point, After all this is supposed to be fun. I don’t think the occasional sentence fragment or spelling mistake should get in the way of some fun, I’d like a partner who adopts the same approach.

  3. In terms of writing length, I’m very flexible. I tend to write at least a couple of paragraphs but that amount will vary usually between 2-5 depending on the circumstances. I have absolutely no preference at all for your chosen amount, whatever you feel the most comfortable with is completely fine.

So I think that’s just about covers everything. If you read the whole thing, thanks.

Bye.
