Discussion about AI Art

Discussion

Let's say you have a description of something (eg. an image, a song, etc...). It has value whether it be monetarily, morally, emotionally, or some other value. Now you use that description as a prompt for an LLM. Is the output more valuable? Why or why not?

If your answer was yes, your argument would probably be that an LLM is just a tool, like digital art tools and using a digital art tool enhances the value so therefore using an LLM enhances the value. I would say digital art is different because an LLM makes the entire thing for you. With digital art, (even though you have extra tools) you are painting like you would on a real canvas. Your input is the strokes on the digital canvas which are expressive and valuable.

My point is the input into a tool is as valuable as the output. Generic input -> Generic output. If you disagree would you tell me why? I want to have a debate and hear other people's opinions.
