Looking for (atmospheric and/or feel-good) books, that make the waiting time feel shorter?

Mainly frustrated with Joe Hill's King Sorrow because of the lack of atmosphere, I'm currently shopping for books (especially books for the heart), and I'm wondering if you know of any novels/graphic novels/comics/manga/... that remind you of Will/Mike/both, even if it's one sentence? Or "just" books with Stranger Things references, if such actually exist?

The genre isn't that important to me.

Preferably no fanfics, as I can't concentrate enough without a book in my hands, sorry. :(
