I recently remembered a situation I had at the dorm room I was staying in while studying at the university. I lived a 4 story building with students on every floor. The problem was that we had just 1 laundry room so it could be difficult to wash your clothes from time to time, not to mention the issue of having space to hang dry your clothes in your room.

About 3 months in, I started to hear a rumor of someone stealing underwear. It got so bad that all the women stayed in the laundry room during the whole wash cycle just to make it stop.

We even gave the thief a nick name, the panty bandit. It got to the point that accusations were flying high within the dorm and that there would be a reward for the one who found the person responsible.

a lot of guys were accussed of being the bandit but nothing really came from it except there was one prime suspect. It got so bad that security had to be called. Luckily, it stopped after maybe 4 months. I believe that the thief also targeted specific women at the dorm because this did not happen to everyone.
