PS- You need to verify yourself before hosting an AMA

On reddit, you will find a plethora of users claim to be someone they're not, or having achieved something they have not. It's especially easy to do so when you're anonymous.

And in recent times there has been a surge of ex-tards hosting AMAs to help juniors out. While we really do appreciate seniors stepping up to help their juniors, it is important to have certainty that it is the right person giving out advice.

Earlier we had asked a few users to verify themselves, when we were not sure of their legitimacy. But from now, it will be an official rule of this sub: AMAs need to be verified by one of the moderators. Before hosting an AMA, you can approach us via modmail or contacting any of us personally to verify yourselves.

Rest assured, you can trust the moderators to keep your identity private.
