Issues with wifi dongle drivers
Due to my current office setup, I can't really run wired Ethernet to my computer at the moment, so I have been using wifi through a USB dongle (I know this is not ideal but it's my setup.) I am getting extremely frustrated with Windows and installed Bazzite on a separate SSD to try it out. I picked Bazzite because it was supposed to byapss a lot of driver issues I have had with Linux in the past, but I discovered that the drivers it was trying to use for my wifi dongle do not work. I followed three or four different tutorials with how to fix this and none worked. Am I just being stupid? Currently it is looking like I may have to disable secure boot which I believe causes issues with Windows 11 and I would prefer not to do that if possible because I've already wasted hours on this whole process and haven't been able to play any games in this time. Every time I get to a point where I think I've fixed it some new issue pops up and there's some other thing that's supposed to fix that and it doesn't work. At this point I'm considering just giving up entirely since I have spent like 6 hours on this so far with no progress.
The driver I think I need to install is akmod-rt18812bu but given that I haven't even gotten to the point where I have actually been able to install this yet, I have no idea if this is actually what I need. This whole process has been humbling and discouraging. I have always considered myself good with computers and I am okay at programming but this has made me feel like a complete idiot.
