Son won’t call us mama or dada

My son will be 2 on the 21st. He counts to 20, knows his colors, some animals, he now even says stuff like 1 plus 1 plus 1 equals 3. He knows what apples are and bananas. But refuses to call us mommy & daddy. Wondering when everyone’s toddler started calling you that with intention he has never called us it & at this point I think he just doesn’t want to lmao. He won’t even attempt to copy us saying it. I know he understands what we are asking of him but he just doesn’t care I guess he even songs some songs & stuff so I’m not sure. He does have an appointment to see a speech therapist on the 10th I don’t really think he needs to anymore but since I was on waiting list for so long they said it doesn’t hurt to still bring him in.
