Are there fighters who fought the best AND beat the best?

:disc: Discussion

A common occurrence in fight sports is the most talented fighters cherry pick their way to the top because they want to get rich and risk manage their way to the belt. With Floyd you have the whole Manny Pacquiao situation (I still think he would have won, but he definitely waited until Manny was over the hill), Khabib retired early, etc.

But when fighters go out there and just fight anyone, including the boogeymen in their division, a lot of them end up losing and the risk is seen as a bad business decision in retrospect.

Are there fighters (modern or in history) who took those risks, fought anyone and everyone, but still won?
