Don’t laugh. But the conspiracy formation operating as train cars, where only the car in front of/in back of the next car were communicating with each other and acting as insulation for cars further up or behind is pretty interesting. As conspiracies go, the train car version is probably much less common than the spoke and hub type.

I’ve always wondered where exactly does Wendi fit in to this train? Some (real) trains have double engines, meaning Donna/Wendi. Then I happened to watch this historic profile of NY Central’s experimental M-497 jet powered engine (1966), and voila, an engine that I feel matches more as to what happened with Donna and Wendi. 🤣. Wendi was the jet power behind Donna’s destruction, and the destructive traincars after (CA, KM, SG, LR). Once everything was done, more than not - the jet power was retired mostly during the bump phase.

Anyway, tis sad when an innocent train history lesson turned immediately to the Adelson’s in my mind. Two good videos on the interesting story of this train, for those who are interested. In any event, the Florida Adelson’s will end up in the dustbin of history, just like the M-497.
