Oof. This seems like a classic combination that should have a known solution, but all car seat pads fall under the “delicates” category and all vomit is disgusting and usually finds a way to linger on textiles unless treated immediately and/or given some “heavy duty” treatments (i.e. enzymatic pretreatments, hot water temperatures, long wash cycles, etc.) The two seem incompatible. I haven’t lost hope. I want to invoke the help of this community. I have time on my side. The vomit is only about an hour old. I’ve removed the car seat pad (75% polyurethane foam pad, 25% polyester fiber). Sprayed off all the macro-vomit (chèvre goat cheese omelet with Kalamata olives & stomach acid) with my showerhead wand. Sprayed the heavily stained areas with Dad Mode. Now I’m working on getting the harness straps off while the Dad Mode marinates. 🧼 Wash instructions: machine wash separately in cold water, delicate cycle. No bleach. Drip dry. Do not iron. Do not dry clean. The fabric symbol shows a 30°C wash temp. What are my best options to prevent long term vomiting odors and get this car seat back to normal without destroying the fabric?

I have the following on hand: Dad Mode Deep Stain Remover, WF 365 Sport Laundry Detergent, Tide+ Ultra Oxi Powder Detergent, Oxi Clean Max Force Stain Remover Spray & Gel, FEBU Enzyme Oxygen Laundry Booster, Calgon Power Tabs, Citric Acid Powder, & Vanish Oxi Action Stain Treatment Spray, Vanish Oxi Action Extra Hygiene Powder (the last 2 were purchased in EU and brought home to USA). I have moderately hard to hard water.

Please help!
