9 WPO problems
I am 9WPO from laproscopic hysterectomy and bilateral salpingectomy. All I have left is my ovaries. It has not been an easy journey. I had a post op infection my surgeon didn't want to own up to, as a result, my healing has been slower. I follow up with my PCP soon so I am actively seeking treatment for my remaining issues. I am simply writing to see if anyone else has experienced any of the same symptoms and what they might have done to alleviate/treat them and/or if they eventually just worked themselves out.
Current issues:
- Splenomegaly (Enlarged spleen)
- Acne breakout (Persistent and reminiscent of adolescence)
- Colorectal pain (Always there and dull, but with occasional sharp stabs. Regular daily BMs)
- Mood swings (Mostly anger, crying spells)
- Fatigue (Sometimes extreme)
- Changes in hair (Not sure how to explain this one, it's just not the same. Oily at the roots even with daily showering. I've always showered daily - this will never change)
I understand some of these can be attributed to hormones. I don't believe anything is quite severe enough to consider HRT. I'm hoping everything will start to work itself out. I know 12 weeks is really the benchmark for total healing, but I've also seen some articles stating that issues can persist for months, especially with the intestines in people already suffering IBS (which I have).
Thank you in advance for any help or wisdom!
