Kennel cough

The second day of a house sitting earlier this week the owner texted me and told me the dog had been around a dog that tested positive for kennel cough. A few days pass and last night the dog starts coughing. Contacted their vet and we’re going in later.

I am going to ask the vet these questions but my mind is whirling in the meantime.

I have 2 dogs at my home I’ve been visiting prior to the symptoms showing up- how worried should I be for them?

I cancelled a meet and greet I had scheduled for later today because that just seems safer.

I have 2 dogs I walk regularly on Monday- and I’ll still have be with this sick dog then- should I cancel those walks?

The kicker is the owner asked me to not allow them to give the dog any shots at the vet.. unvaccinated.. it all makes sense. Also turns out it she had been around THREE dogs with confirmed kennel cough. And I’m very mad. Andddd a new question goes onto my list for meet and greets!
