Remote access

Help

So,

Dunno if this is the right place to post.

I've got three devices on my home network tha I'd like to have remote access to.

2 x Pop!_OS Cosmic machines and 1 Windows 10 machines.

In the "good old days", I used NoMachine server on the two desktop machines, which were Elementary OS v7.1 (Ubuntu 22.04 variant) and Windows 10, and ran NoMachine flatpak client on the other machine, a laptop with Pop!_OS Cosmic. All was well.

About 2 months ago, Pop!_OS Cosmic beta was announced, so I installed that on the desktop that had EOS.

I've installed NoMachine server on this machine and I can connect to it from the other devices, I have no control.

I "suspect" it has something to do with Wayland, but it's just a suspicion. Both Brave and Signal had to be coerced into working.

Anyway, I'm looking for alternatives, preferably FOSS.

I've found RustDesk and AnyDesk.

Are these suitable replacements for NoMachine? Is there anything that would be better?

Thanks!

Chris
