Kolari Clip-in OLPF Pre-Order Update

Hi all, 

I wanted to provide a quick update on the clip-in OLPF Pre-Orders. Everything is mostly on track, but Kolari has experienced a small hiccup which will cause a small delay. I want to give as much info as I can so everyone understands the, “why.”

First off, this delay is likely only going to be a couple of weeks. The original goal for shipping was 8 weeks from pre-order launch, which would have put us at December 16th, 2025. Kolari technically should be ready on December 23rd, but they told me that’s one of the worst weeks to push a large shipment. Many orders get lost and damaged due to the holiday rush. For this reason, they are undecided if they’ll start shipping then, or wait until the following week.

In summary, the new estimated time of shipping is between December 23rd and January 5th. 

Now for the, “why.”  Good news is, the glass is done, and it’s looking great! The metal frame that the glass sits in is where the delay is. They’re just taking slightly longer to machine than originally expected. Kolari is also comparing two coating options for the glass before committing to a whole batch. These are the two final things we’re waiting on. So close!

The machining factory is estimating the frames to be ready by December 15th. From there, the Kolari team hand assembles each OLPF.
