Sign name for our baby
So my husband has bad hearing loss, he was a 28 week preemie and has had this his entire life and it's gradually got worse, they expect him to be fully deaf by 40 at the latest (been a while since he was tested but it was about 19% and 36% function at his last test at 22, 3 years ago). We decided since it will be necessary for him eventually, learning now is a good time, especially with out baby (5 months old). But he's questioning her name. He and I have 3 letter names (mines a nickname but still) so easy to just spell out. Baby's name is Violet. We do call her Vi a lot so that's easy enough to spell out but he really wants to be able to teach her her full first name. I know sign names are generally given from the community but we just don't have any groups or anything near us. Since her name was also a flower I was wondering if the flower had a sign? I've looked it up on the app we use but it just came up with purple. Any ideas? I'm happy to stick with spelling Vi but he's adamant he teaches her the full name too.
