Undervolting i7-14700KF - ASUS ROG B760-I
Hi everyone,
I’ve been looking into undervolting my CPU and, after checking ChatGPT and watching several YouTube tutorials, I decided to ask for some help here. I’m just an everyday gamer and don’t really know much about undervolting and tweaking in general.
On my motherboard, it seems like there’s some kind of undervolt protection. In both the BIOS and Intel Extreme Tuning Utility, the options are greyed out and cannot be modified. Many tutorials I found seem to work on older BIOS versions, but I’m running the latest one on my motherboard.
My goal is to undervolt my CPU because it can reach up to 95°C during heavy gaming, but I don’t want to lose much performance. From what I’ve read, a small undervolt like 0.15V shouldn’t decrease performance noticeably.
Could anyone guide me on how to disable the undervolt protection and adjust the voltage either directly in the BIOS (I have an ASUS ROG motherboard) or using Intel Extreme Tuning Utility?
I really appreciate any advice and guidance. Thank you in advance!
