Really wide font spacing in terminal with some fonts

I like this font called Iosevka, but when I download it and set the terminal to use it, I get this [really wide font spacing](https://imgur.com/a/IBOL6ec)

This happens with both Iosevka and Iosevka-Term.

Any idea why this is happening or what to do about it?
